Hello friends of Taiwanese Association at Central Alabama,

I would like to invite you to my first faculty composition recital at Samford University’s Brock Recital Hall on Saturday 2/25/2012 at 7:30PM.

The concert, entitled “When New Music Meets Modern Dance”, will feature members of Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham’s Arova Contemporary Dance Company, Samford faculty and students from both music and dance departments. I will play five short pieces myself that were inspired by Taiwanese folk tunes.

I hope you could join me for a Saturday evening of music and dance.

2. Music Concert
Before the 2012 Lunar New Year celebration dinner, we would like to invite you to a concert of our young musicians.

The concert will be held at 2:30PM in Bolding Studio of Samford University. (Samford University Map in PDF)
Bolding Studio is located on the 2nd floor of the Building #8 on the map.

Please come support our young talents. The concert should end by 3:30PM. A few of us are travelling from Samford to the Buffett place.

Hello friends of Taiwanese Association at Central Alabama,

I would like to invite you to a concert of brass music. Boston Brass, one of the most prominent brass ensembles in this country, is coming to Samford University on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 7:30PM. This year Boston Brass is celebrating their 25 anniversary, and I am honored to be invited by the ensemble, to write a new piece for this anniversary celebration. This composition called Fanfare for Our Time was written for Boston Brass and Samford Wind Ensemble, is going to be the first on the program. The rest of the program are classic and Christmas brass music, performed by Boston Brass alone. If you like brass music, you will enjoy their fun and humorous style of performance.

12月6日（星期二）晚上7:30, 在Samford University 有一場銅管五重奏音樂會, 邀請對銅管音樂有興趣的同鄉共襄盛舉. 波士頓銅管五重奏 是美國最有名的銅管五重奏之一, 我應樂團的委託, 譜寫了一首新的作品, 慶祝波士頓銅管五重奏今年25週年慶, 這個作品是寫給銅管五重奏加上Samford管樂團, 12/6是首演, 會是當晚第一個曲目, 音樂會其他的曲目是古典音樂和聖誕節音樂. 有興趣的同鄉可以直接 跟我連絡, 或者到 Samford網路售票購票 (票價$19 大人, $9 學生, $14 55歲以上).
